I have been using Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream and Creamy Eye Treatment with Avacado for a couple of months now. As you might know, I have combination skin that have been actively breaking out for the last few years. Recently, I decided to simplify my skincare routine as much as possible. So I was excited to try the basic moisturizers from Kiehls.
Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream ($26.50) is a fairly raved product in blogsphere for being fuss free moisturizer, but I did not realize there are two different types: one for regular skin and another one for super dry skin. I bought the one for super dry skin. Surprisingly, it is extremely moisturizing without being greasy. If you were to add ton of water to your skin, that is how my skin feels with Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream. It has gel like almost fluffy texture and gets observed into skin immediately, which is nice.
However, it is definitely a basic one as it does not compare to Shiseido creams I used before this one. If you prefer more radiant and treated skin, then you should use serum in addition to it. Personally I am enjoying the simplicity of it so far. My skin has calmed down significantly lately. I can't tell you if it is from this moisturizer, but I am definitely fearful of switching it. I am almost out of Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream, so I am considering the regular version for the summer. We will see what I end up buying.
Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avacado ($28.50) is an interesting one. It is an extremely thick cream with light green color without any noticeable scent. It takes a while to be blended into skin, but once it is blended, it leaves skin very hydrated without being greasy. I think it does a sufficient job, but I would not miss it if I don't have it.
When I used Lancome Genifique Eye Treatment, I definitely noticed the difference in texture and color of the skin around my eyes, and I always wanted to use it. After this just set the standard high for me for eye creams. It is definitely no repurchase for me.
