Here it is the elusive dress I have talked about in one of my last posts. It is from BCBG Max Azria and I bought it a few years ago from Lord and Taylor. All the weddings I attended since then were in the summer, and a long sleeved dress was not an option for any of them. So you could imagine my excitement when I found it in my closet right in time for my first fall wedding.
The wedding was at a country club at a ski resort in New York. Isn't this street sign thingy adorable? I think it is a great idea for wedding receptions, and I can't imagine it being too much work to make it if you are currently planning your wedding.
Back to the outfit, because my dress was grey, I needed some color. So I went with a pair of Swarovski earrings I got from my husband a while back, and the red lips were the final touch. If you have not read my post on where this lipstick is from, check out my post on it. The only thing about this dress is the back is sheer, so any bra with back would take away from the elegance of the dress. So I used my sticky strapless and backless bra from Victoria's Secret. If you want, I can review them in the near future.
The ceremony was at the top of the hill and the view was breathtaking with all the fall colors you could possibly imagine. If you have ever been to Upstate New York in the fall, you know what I am talking about. If you have not, you should really see it at some point in your life. We took the ski lifet to get to the top, which was a lot of fun. After everyone, the bride came with her parents at last, which was really cute. It was different and totally representative of who she is as far as I know.
Do these shoes look familiar to you? I bought them last year and blogged about it. It is the second time I am wearing them since then, and I absolutely love them. They need to be broken in more. I bought it in a narrow width, which is bit too tight on me at the moment, but with wear, I think it will work out. Anyways, it was a perfect fall day.
