Hourglass Ambient Finishing Powder in Dim Light is something I use for special occasions. As the name suggests, it is a finishing powder that is supposed to blur out any imperfections while giving you a radiant finish.
I don't know about all imperfections, but it really does blur out moderately sized pores. It has a slightly shimmery finish that gives you luminous skin that you always wondered how certain people got. A friend of mine even asked what I used, because she knows how my skin looks on daily bases. So it definitely makes a noticeable difference in your appearance. However, I can end up looking like a bronzed disco ball if I don't blend it well or apply too much.
The texture is really something to admire. It is finely milled and feels incredibly soft on skin. On the different note, I would not use it as a setting powder, as it does nothing to hold makeup together and it does not claim to do so anyway. Would I recommend Hourglass Ambient Finishing Powder? I think so, even considering its whooping $45 price tag. I think it is a great product that could really help your skin out for special occasions without expensive facials and good night of sleep.
